What is Para Ice Hockey?

Para ice hockey (sledge hockey) is the sport version of ice hockey.

In Nova Scotia, we welcome all abilities as this fun, challenging, and fast-paced game can be enjoyed by everybody.

Players are seated in a bucket, which is supported by two skate blades.  Players propel themselves with sticks spiked at one end and curved blades at the other for shooting. There is an entry point to this game for everyone - whether an equipment loan program, learn to sledge or playing the game of Para Ice Hockey.
