Adapted equipment loans are a fantastic way for persons with a disability to enjoy recreation and sport in their region. There is a wide range for choices and each region has different choices. Below are the different loan programs and links to more information.

Antigonish County Recreation (ACR) offers an equipment loan program to incorporate its newly acquired adapted equipment. This program will allow all of ACR’s equipment to be loaned out without any financial or logistical barriers.

The Yarmouth Shelburne Municipal Recreation Association (YSMRA) owns various pieces of recreation equipment as a way to enhance the recreational opportunities available within Yarmouth and Shelburne counties.
Sledges enable participants with physical disabilities, mobility challenges or individuals who do not know how to skate, to enjoy the game of hockey or go for a sled on the ice. Players move on the ice by propelling their sledge with two sticks with picks on the end or sledges can be pushed with a push bar attachment.
